How do I apply and remove GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Gel Polish?

For best results, it is recommended to do a dry manicure (not soaking the hands and nails in water prior to application)

1. Clean the hands and the nail surface with GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Cleanser / Sanitizer.
2. Gently push the cuticles back with a sterilized metal pusher.
3. Shape the nail using a 180 grit file.
4. Buff the surface of the nail to remove the shine.
5. Remove dust from the nails with a nail brush and cleanse them with GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Cleanser.
6. Apply GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Superbond* as the primer to dehydrate the nail, avoiding the cuticle area.
7. Allow to dry for a few seconds.
8. Apply a thin coat of GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Base coat being careful not to apply on the cuticles.
9. Cure for 2 minutes in 36W UV lamp or 30-60 seconds in 24watt or higher LED lamps.
10. Starting from the base of the nail to the free end, apply a thin layer of GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Gel Polish color, ensuring to seal the ends.
11. Cure for 2 minutes in 36W UV lamp and 30-90 seconds in 24W or higher LED lamps.
12. Apply a second thin layer and cure in the same way as mentioned above.
13. Apply one of the following top coats as the last layer.
    • GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Wipe Off Top Coat.
    • GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Non-Wipe Top Coat.
    • GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Matt Top Coat.
    • GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Black & Co Thermo Top Coat.
14. Cure for 3 minutes in 36 watt UV lamp or 60-90 seconds in 24W or higher LED Lamps.
15. If you are using GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Wipe Off Top Coat, cleanse the sticky residue with GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Cleanser.
16. Apply a little cuticle oil and massage the cuticles.
17. GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Non Wipe Top Coat and GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Matt Top Coats require no cleansing.
    • Allow GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Non Wipe Top Coat to cool for around 30 seconds before applying any oils or creams.

Removal instructions for GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® UV/LED Soak Off Gel Polish

1. Clean hands and nail surface with GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Cleanser.
2. Gently buff the surface of the nail to break the top coat seal.
   • IT.UP Non Wipe Top Coat needs a little additional filing as it is much harder.
3. Place cotton wool soaked in neat acetone (be sure that the acetone is not diluted with water) on the nail and wrap it with aluminium foil.
4. Allow to sit for 8-10 minutes.
5. Remove the foil.
6. With a pusher, gently remove the remaining product.
7. Using a 240/240 grit file, gently buff the surface of the nail to remove residue product..
8. Apply cuticle oil and massage on the cuticles.

* GEL.IT.UP by GIUP® Superbond (primer) works in two ways.

1. Dehydrates the nail bed and allows for longer duration.
2. Since it is acid free and forms a film over the natural nail it also protects the nail.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST UV LAMPS NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY 4-6 MONTHS.  CURING TIMES MENTIONED ABOVE ARE HIGHLY RELYANT ON UV / LED LAMP QUALITY AND WATTS.
